Botany survey with Singapore Botanic Garden and Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh at Ng Bloh (LEWS) from 20th February until 8th March 2017.

Arrived safely at Song town using this Khai Khiong Express. We have a lot of baggage and takes some time to unload it on the wharf.

Transfer from the express boat to the longboat. This journey will takes about six hours to reach the research station.

Unfortunately, we didn’t managed to reach the research station so we overnight at the longhouse. Now we are moving again to reach our destination.

From the longhouse, we start to look for a proper place for our camping. Finger crossed!

We choose this site and before we ruin any plants on this pathway, the botanists start to do their job.

Decision has been made and we built our camp ground at this site. A challenging one.

Where we get our water supply and bath everyday. Only when it is tame. Some days its get very murky and vicious.
